Smart sells out limited #2 Couture Edition in two weeks

Smart's #2 Couture Edition, limited to 999 units, sold out within 14 days across the European countries that offered it, according to Electrive and Electric Cars Report. Early orders opened Oct. 13 after the car debuted at the Paris Motor Show, and the last units were gone by Oct. 29, Smart Europe said. The regular #2, an electric successor to the Fortwo, starts at 19,990 euros in Germany, France, Italy and other markets, with first deliveries scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. It uses a 35.7 kWh LFP battery from CATL and has a preliminary WLTP range of up to 290 km, Electric Cars Report said.
