About Find Your EV

Range figures and charging peaks only tell part of the story. What matters is how long a trip takes, how often you stop, and how often you plug in at home. Find Your EV answers that for every electric car, on the same routes, so the numbers compare fairly.

How we compare

• Long range trips. Every EV drives five reference routes, from Germany's Autobahn to the Alps and across Europe, starting with a full battery and arriving with at least 5 %. Speed follows the posted limits, and climbs and descents count.
• Charging. Stops use each battery's measured charging curve and the charging window that is fastest for that car, plus five minutes per stop to get to the charger and plug in.
• Commutes. Daily commutes of different lengths and road types, there and back every workday, with free-flowing traffic and in the rush hour, until the battery needs charging.
• Your own routes. Plan a trip or a commute of your own and every EV is simulated on it in seconds, with the same rules.

Our data

• Specifications of over 1,100 electric variants: batteries, power, dimensions, cargo, towing and equipment.
• Charging curves per battery, showing the power at every state of charge.
• Vehicle parameters for the physical model (drag, frontal area, rolling resistance, drivetrain efficiency, weight), calibrated against real-world consumption where available.
• List prices from the manufacturers and asking prices of new and used cars listed on AutoScout24 in eight European countries.
• Video reviews from independent channels.

Simulations are models, not measurements: weather, payload and driving style change real results. Because every car meets the same conditions, the comparison between them holds.
