GAC Group's Quark Electric Drive 2.0 took a first prize in this year's China-SAE awards, presented Oct. 28 in Suzhou, CarNewsChina reported. The system combines a stator made of amorphous alloy and a carbon-fiber rotor sleeve and reached a peak motor efficiency of 99.03% in tests certified by CAERI, with a power density of 17.29 kW/kg.
