VW's Elli to drop wallbox hardware and seek outside partners

Volkswagen's charging subsidiary Elli is overhauling its business model and will phase out its hardware business, including its in-house AC wallbox, electrive reported. The company plans to concentrate on bidirectional charging, energy management, charging cards and fleet services. Elli is also opening up to external partners and investors, according to the report.
