BYD sells record 305,743 battery-electric cars in October

BYD's battery-electric passenger car sales rose 37.38% year over year in October, a record for the third month in a row, Electric Cars Report said. BEVs made up 63.28% of the company's passenger vehicle sales, up from 50.95% a year earlier. Exports of new energy vehicles more than doubled to 170,194, up 102.84%, though they slipped 5.81% from September. Electrek noted that BYD's October EV sales exceeded the U.S. total for all of the third quarter.
