BYD has launched the all-new second generation of its Seal 07 sedan in China, with the battery-electric version priced from 149,900 to 172,900 yuan before discounts, CarNewsChina reported.
The replacement arrives eight months after BYD updated the first-generation car in March. China EV DataTracker counted just 8,017 Seal 07 deliveries in China between January and September.
Figures for the EV:
- Drive: rear motor, 245 kW (329 hp), 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, 240 km/h top speed
- Battery: 76.7 kWh Blade 2.0 LFP
- Range: 775 km CLTC, 636 km WLTP
- Consumption: 9.8 kWh per 100 km
- Trunk: 618 liters, plus a 160-liter frunk
The sedan measures 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,495 mm high, on a 2,960 mm wheelbase.
A roof-mounted lidar sensor serves the God's Eye B driver-assistance system, which handles steering in cities and on highways. Higher trims get DiSus-M magnetorheological suspension, a system previously reserved for Denza and Fang Cheng Bao models.
BYD also sells the car as a plug-in hybrid, the Seal 07 DM-i, from 139,900 yuan.
