Notices from market regulator SAMR show Toyota calling back 121,260 electric cars of its bZ3X and bZ7 lines in China over faults in suspension, brakes and steering, CarNewsChina reported.
The three campaigns:
- bZ3X, 100,175 cars built Feb. 27, 2025, to March 26, 2026: nuts on the front stabilizer links can loosen and, in extreme cases, come off
- bZ7, 18,130 cars built Oct. 28, 2025, to Aug. 3, 2026: Comfort Stop software can limit braking force at low speed, lengthening stopping distances
- bZ7, 2,955 cars built March 10 to May 15, 2026: a front camera software fault during an over-the-air update can turn the steering wheel unintentionally when Integrated Cruise Assist is on
GAC Toyota will replace the nuts and fix both bZ7 faults with software updates.
The bZ7 already had a July campaign covering about 24,000 cars over faults in the smart Bluetooth module and the thermal management controller.
